Why should I use LEAP when I can do eNewsletters myself with services like ConstantContact?
Good and very common question. Many of our clients started out using services like ConstantContact until they run into coding difficulties, text and image placement issues and graphic design needs. Creating a professional e-newsletter requires good knowledge of HTML programming and graphic design experience to make your newsletter stand out from the rest and look professional.
Another common reason businesses and professionals use us is because they don't have the time to create and manage the e- newsletters themselves. Creating, sending and managing e-newsletters can be a daunting and time-consuming task more than people realize. We pay attention to detail and manage everything for you. That's the payoff.
I prefer to use services like ConstantContact or similar for specific reasons. Do you work with other services?
YES! Some of our existing clients use services like ConstantContact and we just help them with the coding and design of their e-newsletters. Sometimes our clients prefer this because they already use the service and are familiar with how it works. We support other email services like ConstantContact and can work with you to leverage these services more.
Do you provide content for newsletters? What about proofreading and correction?
Of course! Our team of professional ground transportation, automotive and environmental industry authors create original content for our newsletters each and every month, and one article each month will be written specifically for you.
Can you just create the template and let me place the content?
Yes. But more often than not, we often see clients run into coding and graphic/text placement issues and needs, and they end up using our services altogether to avoid this. If you are knowledgeable in HTML programming, you can certainly manage and send the content yourself and use us to design and write your monthly newsletter and send your newsletter through the LEAP newsletter system or another system that you choose.
I have existing contact list(s) in my email program or other location. Can you import contacts from those sources into my e-newsletter database?
Yes! We can assist you in extracting your existing contacts from a source you own to use in your e-newsletter database. We do ask that you ask your contacts permission to be placed on the list if you do not have it.
Do you sell email lists?
No. LEAP does not sell or rent email addresses because the people you email to must have at some point requested (or opted to receive) your specific information or type of information. The most legitimate lists are those you build organically or those purchased through a legitimate cross-referral program or partnership.
I don't want to be accused of being a spammer, but want to send e-newsletters to my existing contact database. What should I do?
If you have contacts in an existing address book that you own, and do not have a newsletter database, we suggest that you get permission from your contacts before adding them to your e-newsletter list. If you own the source of the list, we can assist you in creating an initial email message notifying your contacts that they can subscribe to your list with instructions on how to do so. Another option, is to add your contacts to the e-newsletter list, then send an email notifying them that they have been subscribed to your list with a clear option to unsubscribe if they do not wish to receive your newsletter.
We will always place unsubscribe options in at the bottom of e-mail newsletters, as you can and will be accused of spamming if you do not provide an easy way to opt-out of your list. LEAP will not be responsible for any lawsuits resulting to sending unsolicited email to provided list(s).
What are the costs of your e-newsletter services?
You are billed for the service monthly. The monthly service charge includes transmission of one eNewsletter to as many as 1,000 email addresses. Additional email addresses can be added to the list at a cost o $40.00 per thousand names. Additional emails may also be added at a reduced costs. Please call/email for more details and information.
Can I change the "mail-from" and "reply-to" addresses of the email that gets sent out through your service?
Yes, absolutely! It can be any valid email address you have. You will probably want to have it be "Your Company" <you@yourdomain.com>
Do you have templates for HTML email?
Yes! Pre-designed HTML email newsletter templates are available for use as part of our do-it-yourself email option. These templates include one column, two column, three column and many more in all kinds of layouts, sizes and colors.
We also offer a custom template design service to better meet your business needs.
Do you force me to reconfirm all my subscribers when I upload them?
No. This is not required.
What kind of opt-in method do you require?
All clients must use either a Single Opt-In or a Confirmed Opt-In (COI) (sometimes called "double opt-in") subscription method to prevent unwanted subscriptions to your mailing list.
What is the setup fee?
A $50.00 one time setup fee covers setting up your account and uploading your subscriber mailing list.
Are there any other additional costs or hidden fees?
No.
Can I make it look like my mail is coming from my own mail server?
As a list owner, you can always change your "mail-from" and "reply-to" settings to whatever you like, and this is included with your list at no cost.
However, you can add even more customization to your list by having your list appear as if it is on its own mail server as a virtual mail server. Another name for a virtual mail server is a Cname (which stands for canonical domain name), or a subdomain. It is simply the term used to describe the words before your domain name, such as list.yourdomain.com.
LEAP offers virtual mail server setup for a one time cost of $50.00.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No, there are no contracts or minimum time commitments. The service is a month to month service, billed monthly. |
